Abstract

Authors of the article identified and substantiated an alternative way to improve energy security and improve the technical and economic indicators of stand-alone power supply systems (SAPS): integration into their composition at a direct current (DC) of distributed photovoltaic (PV) stations. The article presents a computer model that simulates daily modes of generation, consumption and insolation of a remote object in Russia – the village of Tokma, Irkutsk Region. Authors provided a comparative analysis of the existing diesel power supply system with the proposed photo-diesel SAPS of DC with the energy storage system. The authors analyze the energy balance of the SAPS, highlighting the contribution of each of the energy sources. Comparative characteristics of technical solutions of hybrid power supply systems in terms of energy security are given as well.
