Abstract
This article includes the author’s views about the Department of Librarianship to be Established at Istanbul University. The author, who is an academic in the Department of Librarianship at Ankara University, Faculty of Language and History – Geography, aims to be of help to the administrators and academic staff of the department to be established by sharing his experiences in the department, and the factors that promote success or cause failure.
