Abstract

This case report concerns partial recovery from dyslexia in a female, adult patient whose dysphasic symptoms were attributable to a left cerebral abscess. Emphasis is placed on the changing pattern of error, as reading improved. It is suggested that analogous linguistic studies of spontaneous recovery are relevant to the design of appropriate remedial programmes.
