Abstract
The luminescence and reflection spectra near the fundamental edge have been measured on layered crystals BiI 3 at liquid helium temperature. The indirect exciton transition with phonon emission has been observed for the first time in the reflection spectra. The energy of Phonon taking part in indirect transition has been determined.
