Abstract

Due to the coupling between feeding coaxial cables, it will influence impedance matching of a differentially fed base station antenna. To solve this problem, a method has been proposed. By nested metal tubes outside coaxial cables, stable impedance matching is obtained. Finally, to verify the design theory, a differential fed base station antenna with nested metal tubes outside coaxial cables was fabricated. Measured results agree well with simulated results, so theoretical analysis has been verified.
