A simple technique has been presented to preserve interocclusal registrations. Not only does this method assure that the dental laboratory receives an accurate interocclusal record, it allows the dentist to verify that the dental laboratory work has been performed at the established jaw registration. (Request that the dental laboratory return the acrylic resin indexes with the requested work.) Plaster indexes can also be used; however, they are more susceptible to breakage.
