Abstract

This chapter studies the stabilization problems of time-varying linear systems which contain multiple input delays and distributed input delays. Under the conditions that all the characteristic multipliers of the system matrices are within the unit circle and the absolute controllability, TPF controllers are constructed based on the solutions of parametric differential Riccati equations and algebraic Riccati equations. It is shown that global stabilization and L ∞ and L 2 semi-global stabilization can be achieved for arbitrarily large bounded delays provided the design parameter γ is small enough.
