Abstract

A new passive hologram stabilization method has been devised in which intermittent exposure control is used to ``stop'' the motion of the fringe field to be recorded. This system can be effectively employed as the sole stabilization method, or coupled with other known techniques to upgrade performance. The effectiveness of intermittent exposure control in the presence of strong disturbances is demonstrated by experimental results. Efforts concerning implementation options are also presented.
