Abstract

The hybridization properties of various peptide–oligonucleotide hybrids were assessed from UV thermal denaturation experiments. Analysis of these and other published data suggests that peptide chains, both hydrophobic and positively charged, generally have a clear stabilizing effect on short-chain oligonucleotide duplexes.
