Abstract

The stability performance of HTSC composite tapes with dynamic stabilization wasstudied. By comparing it with the energy of the possible disturbance in magnets, it was found that the stability performance of HTSC composite tapes with dynamic stabilization could be comparable to that of their low Tc cryostable counterparts. Because twisting and transposing might degrade the high current-carrying capacity of HTSC multi-core composites, the unnecessity of twisting and transposing was also discussed.
