Abstract

In the framework of linear theory, a study is made of the stability of laminar flow in the boundary layer on a flat porous plate near a stagnation point in the presence of massive blowing. The problem is solved in the inviscid approximation. The neutral curves are calculated, and the values of the critical parameters and the position of the point at which stability is lost are determined. It is found that the extension of the region of laminar flow is directly proportional to the blowing velocity.
