Abstract
In the present work, using variational ansatz, diamagnetic susceptibility is investigated as a tool to directly measure the inter-particle separation of the constituent carriers and hence the stability of exciton in a Concentric Double Quantum Ring (CDQR) structure. There is a drastic variation in the localisation of exciton when the inner and outer rings are tuned. The interplay of the centripetal force imposed on the particles due to the rotational geometry of the system and the coulombic force play a major role in deciding the stability of exciton in a particular regime. Thus investigation of exciton stability and its localisation in different regions in a CDQR gives us a thorough insight on the utilization of this nano heterostructure in optical and opto-electronic devices for specific purposes.
