Abstract

Immunizing potency of broth-propagated Hemophilus gallinarum (HG) bacterin was compared with tylosin and thimerosal treatment as the HG-inactivation agent and preservative. The immunizing potency of a tylosin-treated HG bacterin was as stable as a thimerosal-treated bacterin after 53 months storage at 2 to 5° C.
