Abstract
The aim of the contribution is to formulate and investigate an averaged theory describing stability of thin periodic shallow shell-like structures called slightly wrinkled plates. The obtained equations are applied to the evaluation of the effect of initial geometrical periodic plate imperfections on a value of a critical force. The general results are ilustrated by an example.
