Abstract
1. The energy of intermolecular hydrogen bonding between the trans-enol forms of β- ketoaldehydes and proton-acceptor compounds has been determined. 2. The energy required for breakdown of the intramolecular hydrogen bonding in cisenols with passage to a hydrogen bond free trans-enol form has also been determined.
