Abstract

A simple model of stress-strain behavior in a cut area is used in a static problem concerning the buckling of a slender core with a lateral cut or crack. Formulas of buckling forces for a small ratio of a cut length to total core length were received. Generalization of cases where a core has a variety of lateral cracks is given.
