Abstract

Often mathematical programming problems are not completely known. Then the decision maker usually replaces the unknown quantities in the objective function and/or the constraints by estimates, and the question arises under what conditions on the original problem and the estimates the optimal values and the solution sets of the surrogate problems approximate the optimal value and the solution set of the original problem in a suitable sense.
