Abstract

This work entails a comparative analysis on two type algorithms (PID and FIS) to improve stability in UPFC (Unified Power Flow Controller) with fuel cell by eliminating the harmonics. PID (Proportional Integral Derivative controller) and FIS(Fuzzy Inference System) algorithms are implemented for sample size of 14 with P value is less than 0.05 to improve stability in UPFC. Based on the results obtained,When compared to PID algorithm (18.76% and 57.83mV), FIS algorithm obtains the best stability indexing by controlling peak overshoot (12.8 % ) and peak output voltage (56.53mV) in order to eliminate the harmonics. By utilising a cutting-edge optimization technique, the FIS algorithm offers more stability when compared to the PID algorithm for the chosen data set.
