Abstract

This study deals with a real-world planning problem in railroad infrastructure operations. The research was done as part of the RECIFE project, which is working on a decision support software designed to evaluate junction or station capacity. One of the aims of the RECIFE project is to develop a timetable optimization model as well as timetable evaluation modules. This paper presents a module for evaluating timetable stability based on an original method using shortest path problem resolution. An example involving the Pierrefitte-Gonesse junction is also presented.
