Abstract

Some aspects of the stability of protein Langmuir-Blodgett films are discused. Considering immunoglobulin G Langmuir-Blodgett films, it was shown that partial desorption of protein molecules into water solutions takes place. The process of desorption is continual and is increased by antigen-antibody interactio. The surface properties of substrates and the conditions of deposition have been varied and it was found that the best stability of the films correlates with the most closely packed films.
