Abstract

AbstractThis paper is concerned with a Runge-Kutta Discontinuous Galerkin (RKDG) method for solving the time-dependent Maxwell’s equations in the context of light propagation in the human eye. The method is based on a discontinuous Galerkin (dG) method for the spatial discretisation of the partial differential equations (PDEs) and an explicit fourth-order Runge-Kutta method for the integration of the resulting system of ordinary differential equations (ODEs). The stability and convergence properties of the method are studied and experimentally inspected.
