Abstract

This article draws inspiration from the derivation of the failure model of ordinary components under impulse loads and obtains a calculation method for the forced outage rate of power equipment under impulse loads. Based on the revised forced outage rate, the reliability of the power system under impulse loads is evaluated. By comparing and analyzing the reliability of the power grid under two scenarios: impulse loads and conventional loads, the impact of impulse loads on the operational risk of the power grid is obtained.
