Abstract

The increasing penetration of renewable energy is altering concern about the stability of the renewable grid- connected system. Photovoltaic (PV) output characteristic should be considered when modelling for N-paralleled PV grid- connected systems, where nonlinear methods are required. In this paper, N-paralleled PV grid-connected DC systems are modelled and simplified firstly. Then for a single PV system, describing function method is adopted to model the nonlinear part of the power control part based on P&O method. Finally, the influence of the grid inductance and the number of paralleled systems are analyzed. Theoretical analysis shows that the increscent grid inductance and the number destabilizes the system, and RTLAB simulation is conducted to verify the analysis.
