Abstract
The paper studies the properties of a liquid-filled prism with variable angle for laser beam stabilisation in space. The liquid wedge deflection method is intended for stabilizing the HeNe laser used in interferometers designed to measure displacement. This paper presents a test of the system, experimental verification, and estimation of accuracy. The assumption was made that the displacement range is 10−5 rad, and the resolution is 10-7 rad. Liquids with different properties were tested. The possible control frequencies were checked. Compensation under the natural conditions of laser operation has been shown.
