Abstract

The broad aspects of the stratigraphy of the Upper Cretaceous St. Mary River formation, and certain pertinent details of both structure and stratigraphy of the well exposed section along the St. Mary River in southwestern Alberta are herewith presented. The formation thickness is approximately 1,160 feet; a thick upper member and a thin basal member are differentiated.
