Abstract

The author questions whether myocardial infarction (MI) in youg adult females less than 35 years of age id due to the increased prevalence of atherosclerotic heart disease in the younger population and suggests that the most likely culprit causing thrombosis in the right coronary artery in this patient could be a combination of smoking and hormonal contraception.
