Abstract

Vocal music education has a rich history in both China and Russia, with both countries boasting a variety of educational institutions and programs designed to train aspiring musicians. However, there are also noticeable differences in their teaching methods and techniques. Against the background of the “One Belt, One Road” initiative aimed at expanding cooperation and exchanges between countries along the historical Silk Road, this article aims to conduct a comparative analysis of professional vocal and musical education in China and Russia. In particular, we will look at the history of vocal and music education in both countries, study the main institutions and programs of vocal and music education, as well as analyze the strengths and weaknesses of the respective approaches to learning.
