Abstract

We have performed muon spin rotation and relaxation experiments in caged compound PrIr 2 Zn 20 with the non magnetic Γ 3 doublet state at J-PARC MUSE to elucidate the magnetic state. In the paramagnetic phase, we have observed a spontaneous muon spin precession, even in a zero field. This result suggests that a novel coupling between 141 Pr nuclei and muon is formed in PrIr 2 Zn 20 .
