Russian Abstract: В работе дается анализ историографической разработанности и обзор источников по проблеме эсеровской демократической альтернативы абсолютизму и «большевизму справа и слева», которая имеет первостепенное значение среди альтернативных левых концепций государственного переустройства России в ХХ веке. Партия социалистов-революционеров (ПСР) являлась продолжательницей идей и традиций народничества – старшей из двух ветвей русского социализма. Но самое главное, что ПСР была самой популярной и многочисленной партией в 1917г. и победила на выборах в Учредительное Собрание.English Abstract: The paper analyzes the historiographical elaboration and review of sources on the issue of the SR democratic alternative to absolutism and Bolshevism on the right and the left, which is of paramount importance among alternative leftist concepts of state transformation of Russia in the twentieth century. Socialist-Revolutionary Party (SRP) was the continuer of ideas and traditions of populism - the eldest of the two branches of Russian socialism. But the most important thing is that the SRP was the most popular and largest party in 1917, and won the elections to the Constituent Assembly.
