Abstract

This study presents the square of correspondence between the career needs of research and development (R&D) personnel (in terms of goals, tasks, and challenges) and career development programs. The square of this correspondence is illustrated for the four respective career stages of researchers comprising of the exploration stage, the establishment stage, the maintenance stage, and the disengagement stage.
