Abstract

The experience matured at SISMEL for the creation of database and printed census R.I.Ca.Bi.M (Repertory of Inventories and Catalogues of Medieval Libraries from the VIth Century to 1520) allows to do some methodological remarks about: international state of the art; definition of documentary typologies and criteria of their selection; data processing for the achievement of main goals; lemmatization of bibliographic entries.
