Abstract

We investigate the phase diagrams and magnetizations in mixed spin square and hexagonal nanoislands with respectively four-spin and three-spin interactions by the use of the finite cluster approximation. The effect of the four-spin, three-spin as well as the bilinear interlayer interactions has received a great attention. A variety of interesting behaviors have been found according to the strengths of these exchange interactions, such as the horizontal reentrance and the tricritical phenomena. In particular, for square nanoisland when J4 = -4 two ground states keep existing up to a special value of temperature related to Jr. The thermal dependence of magnetizations confirms also the reported results.
