Abstract

Squamous cell carcinoma of oral cavity occurs rarely in pediatric population and particularly rare during the first decade of life. When it occurs, it is most commonly seen on tongue and lip. We report a case of squamous cell carcinoma of maxillary alveolus in ten years old boy. The diagnosis in the case was delayed because of the rarity of this disease in pediatric population. Timely diagnosis and treatment is helpful in treating the disease so as to give a better prognosis in an otherwise poor prognostic disease in children.
