Abstract

Today’s we are living in a world where everything is being connected with technology. Smart homes, smart cities, smart transportation systems, etc., are the applications of advancement in technology (due to integration of Internet of Things together).Today we can say that these internet-connected devices (in integration) have made human life easier and safer with introducing several applications like smart transportation, smart cities, smart homes, smart farming, smart grid, etc. But, using such devices in our daily life, people are very much concern about their personal information. So a question raised here: Is it (personal information) safe with these devices? How much are users satisfied with that, i.e., these devices will not use our information (generated and collected) against respective users. Note that internet of things also built Cyber Physical Systems (CPSs) in integrating which comes in applications like automotive (intelligent transport systems), aerospace, defence, robotics/ IoTs, medical devices, smart grids, oil and natural distribution. Generally, CPSs consist of two major components, a physical process and a cyber-system. Generally, all these internet-connected devices are tracking user’s movement which is really a critical issue to notify and overcome. Hence, this article explains such incidents/ scenarios which have occurred/ done over the internet due to/ by internet of things (e.g., internet connected things like smart phones, laptop, etc.). Also, this work provides several issues and challenges with respect to future technology Machine learning, i.e., IoTs with machine learning. Hence in near future, we need to analyse, prevent and mitigate possible attacks in an Internet of Things or Cyber-Physical Systems with efficient solutions.
