Abstract
•Amorphous perpendicular TbFeCo films sputtered at low pressures exhibit high remanence ratio.•Temperature difference of ~40°C between Tc and Tcomp is determined in Tb-rich films.•A thin in-plane magnetization soft layer is revealed by MOKE measurements.•Large intrinsic polar Kerr rotation angle of ~0.2° @ 633nm is demonstrated.
