Abstract

A comparative study of perovskite material has been done by exposing samples to cesium 137 gamma rays. Monte Carlo simulation is accomplished for the Cs137 ion sputtering of CH3NH3PbI3 (lead perovskite) and its lead replaced equivalent, CH3NH3SnI3 (tin perovskite) as a latest perception of civilizing the lead free perovskite material. Currently, the lead free perovskites give inferior PCE than lead perovskite. In this paper, it is reported that the sputtering results and projected range result behavior is quite similar for lead and tin perovskites [2]. In fact, an another reason to improve the properties of tin perovskite for solar cell application despite of its poor PCE.
