Abstract

The article provides extensive information about Bio-morphological and Eco-geographical features, the results of phytochemical analysis, useful properties, and use possibilities in folk and scientific medicine of the wasteland of Satureja hortensis L. species of Lamiaceae Lindl. sort in the flora of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. also the information was given about distribution in the world, Azerbaijan and different high-altitude belts of the autonomous republic. The thin layer chromatography was carried out of ethanol extract of leaves and stems of Satureja horternsis L., and the values of Rf are defined by the substances contained in them. According to the values obtained of spectral and chromatographic analyses, compounds have been identified which containing in the extracts. Thus the results were defined by viewed in the usual ultraviolet short and longwavelength light. The separated part as pure in thin layer chromatography time soluted in ethanol and wavelengths measured with Hitachi U-2900 UV-VIS spectrophotometer in 200-700 nm. Spectrums with wavelengths of 200.0-294.5 (Me OH λ max. nm) (28.8%) characteristic for flavonoids, and waves with a length of 340-378.5 nm (26.8%) for flavones, flavonones, chalcons, the characteristic wavelength of 556.5-630.5 nm (44.3%) was also revealed for anthocyanin’s.
