Abstract

A 23-year-old man who worked in jewelry manufacturing presented to the Family Medicine Skin Clinic for evaluation of multiple white spots on his fingernails. The patient had been aware of the lesions for several months. He was asymptomatic and reported no known trauma other than the work he did with his hands, which included grinding and polishing. He was otherwise in good health, with no rashes or other skin concerns.What’s your diagnosis?
