Abstract

This paper constitutes a review of the literature on the single polymer composites (SPC), an interesting and useful group of new polymer materials. They are fully recyclable and have mechanical properties comparable to heterogeneous polymer composites. The most important preparation methods of these composites (hot compaction of polymer foils, fibres and tapes, infusion of polymer solution or powder, film-stacking method, co-extrusion technology, injection moulding) are presented.
