Abstract

Introduction: Midnight Basketball In March 2001, the University of Oklahoma women’s basketball team traveled to Spokane, Washington, to play the underdog Washington Huskies in the Sweet 16 round of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Tournament. The game started just before midnight Oklahoma time and lasted until nearly 2 AM. The sluggish Sooners lost by 17 points, to opponents external and internal. The external opponents were Washington women, the internal opponents were Sooner clocks. Body clocks dislike midnight basketball.
