Abstract
An article by Mario Serio (Professor of Comparative Law at the University of Palermo, Italy), taken from his presentation at the International Academy of Legal Science conference held at the University of Istanbul in May 2010. The author focuses on the Italian experience of sports contracts and the way relationships between athletes and their employers may be governed in particular legal systems, including protection through implementation within sports bodies. The article is published in Amicus Curiae – Journal of the Society for Advanced Legal Studies at the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies. The Journal is produced by SALS at the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies, University of London.
