Abstract
We read with interest the paper by Carmel Armon published in the last issue of the Journal [1], which raises a number of substantial questions and solicits deeper insight in the association between ALS and some sports, namely soccer. Since in this context some criticism was formulated to our proportionate mortality analysis of Italian soccer players [2], we would like to provide the following additional comments.
