Abstract

Biomechanical analysis of your golf swing may help you develop better technique. Proper strength and conditioning should help minimise injuries and exclude physiological fatigue as a factor on the back nine. However, the finest equipment and the best physical preparation will not result in good performances if the mental aspects of the game are left to chance. Thoughts and feelings influence behaviour/performance. Becoming aware of how you need to be thinking and feeling to play your best golf, and then putting in place routines that encourage the desired thoughts and feelings will enhance the consistency of performance.
