Abstract

This paper deals with sport managers’ organizational commitment levels in Turkey. This study involves 339 formal sport managers working in 81 provinces of Turkey. Data collection has been made through organizational commitment scale. Here, sport managers’ commitment levels to the their organizations are determined in this study by three different dimensions of organizational commitment as emotional commitment, attendance commitment and normative commitment. Moreover, sport managers are analysed in whether organizational commitment differs in their genders, duties, ages and their working periods in institution. Considering the results of analysis, the commitment level for sport managers, seen at most, is emotional commitment. While there are meaningful differences between managers’ organizational commitment levels and their genders, titles, their working periods in institution, there is no meaningful difference between managers’ organizational commitment levels and age variables.
