Abstract

In this letter, a microstrip-line-based spoof surface plasmon polariton (SSPP) is exploited in application to analog signal processing to time reverse high-frequency electromagnetic signals. Such a microstrip-line-based SSPP structure is described and analyzed. The time reversal function is achieved by incorporating microwave switches periodically loaded to the studied SSPP structure. The developed prototype demonstrator shows an amplitude-modulated electromagnetic signal can be effectively reversed in the time domain.
