Abstract

We consider possibilities of spontaneous supersymmetry breaking for N = 2 Maxwell multiplets non-minimal self-couplings by means of N = 2 Fayet- Iliopoulos (FI) mechanism. The N = 2 FI parameter is an isovector, so one can use models with several non-collinear parameters. The supersymmetry breaking is shown to be impossible for the general non-minimal self-couplings of a single Maxwell multiplet. We give simple examples of spontaneous breakdown for models with two multiplets in the presence of one and two (orthogonal) FI terms.
