Abstract

A tubo-ovarian abscess is a rare gynecological finding. In addition to providing proper antibiotics, bilateral salpingectomy is usually the procedure of treatment of tubo-ovarian abscess, and it also means losing the ability of spontaneous conception. We report a case of tubo-ovarian abscess following bilateral salpingectomy, in which the patient got spontaneous pregnancy. Based on a MEDLINE search in the English-language literature, there appears to be no reported cases of spontaneous pregnancy. So, we present this case.
