Abstract
Developing a malignant pleural effusion (MPE) in patients with cancer is considered one of the staging indicators of progressive and advanced disease. Typically, the MPE either improves with treatment or progresses, leading to distressing respiratory symptoms such as dyspnea or chest pain. Spontaneous resolution of MPE is rarely described. We are presenting a case of adenocarcinoma of the lung complicated with MPE which improved without therapeutic intervention.
