Abstract

The mechanism of bubble annihilations during bubble propagation on T-bar circuits is analyzed. Particular emphasis is given to the observation that successive bubbles disappear with a logarithmic time dependence. A model is suggested in which the bubbles interact indirectly through the medium of remanent effects in the T-bar overlays, and it is shown that this model leads to the observed time sequence of annihilations. Several alternate models are discussed and are shown to be unacceptable. Experimental data in support of the remanent-interaction model are presented.
