SPN Position Statement on Safe Staffing: Recommendations for an Evidence-Based and Outcomes-Driven Staffing Plan

Abstract

SOCIETY OF PEDIATRIC Nurses (SPN) position statements articulate the society's official stance and recommendations for a course of action on issues affecting the specialty of pediatric nursing. The Safe Staffing Position Statement was first developed by the SPN Public Policy Committee in 2007 and later revised in 2011. Because of its continued relevance in the current healthcare climate, the statement has once again been reviewed and updated.
